Life Happens Counseling, PLLC values your privacy and takes confidentiality seriously. This page explains how privacy, communication, website use, and emergency limitations are handled when you contact or work with Renata Creech, LPC.

This page is a general website and practice privacy overview. It does not replace the formal informed consent, practice policies, or Notice of Privacy Practices provided to clients before treatment begins. Confidentiality in Therapy

Therapy is private and confidential. Information shared in therapy is not released without your written permission, except when disclosure is permitted or required by law.

Exceptions to confidentiality may include situations involving immediate risk of serious harm, suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or vulnerable adult, court orders, or other situations required by law. This is not a complete list of every possible legal exception.

If you have questions about confidentiality or its limits, you are encouraged to ask before or during treatment.

Email, Contact Forms, and Scheduling

You may contact Life Happens Counseling, PLLC through the website, email, phone, or online scheduling link.

Submitting a contact form, sending an email, leaving a voicemail, or scheduling a consultation does not create a therapist-client relationship. A therapist-client relationship begins only after intake paperwork is completed and services are formally started.

Please do not include detailed clinical, relational, legal, or crisis information in email, website forms, or voicemail. These tools are best used for scheduling, consultation requests, and basic administrative communication.

Email and website forms can carry privacy risks. By choosing to contact the practice by email or through an online form, you understand that this method of communication may be used to respond to you unless you request another method of contact.

Emergencies and Crisis Situations

Email, website contact forms, voicemail, and online scheduling requests are not monitored for emergencies or crisis support.

If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a crisis, call 911 or your local emergency services.

Life Happens Counseling, PLLC does not provide emergency mental health services through this website.

Website Privacy

This website is hosted through Squarespace. Online scheduling may be handled through Calendly. These services may collect or process information according to their own privacy practices.

The website may collect basic technical information such as browser type, device information, pages visited, and general website activity.

Life Happens Counseling, PLLC does not sell website visitor information or client information.

Online Therapy Across Virginia

Online therapy is available to clients located in Virginia at the time of service. If you are traveling or located outside Virginia, please discuss this before your session.

Coordination of Care

Life Happens Counseling, PLLC does not communicate with outside providers, family members, attorneys, schools, or other third parties about your care without written permission, except when permitted or required by law.

If coordination with another provider would be helpful, you may be asked to complete a written release of information.
